UAE Labour Agreement

Labour Contract (Employment Contract)-MOHRE-UAE

+ Labour Contract is an Agreement between Employee and Employer.

+ It is made only for the employees of Firms under the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation-MOHRE. Free Zone employees will have separate labour contract and It is subject to Free Zone rules and regulations.

+ Normally, the Contract period is 2 years under MOHRE.

+ There are Two Types Contracts; Limited and Unlimited.

+ Labour Contract to be signed by both parties and submitted to MOHRE within 60days from the date of Entry/Visa Position Amendment.

+ Application status can be tracked through www.mohre.gov.ae by entering IN number which is printed on the submission receipt.
+ Labour Contract and Labour Card within 24 Hours: You can print e-contract and e-Labour Card from www.mohre.gov.ae or or typing centre.

When do you need it?
+ Labour contract is required when you apply for Family Visa, Maid visa, Parents’ visa or visit visa under your sponsorship.

Profession change: Profession and Salary in Labour Contract can be amended after you receiving labour contract and stamped visa in the passport.

+ Labour Contract and Labour Card to be renewed through Tas’heel Centre on expiry of its validity, for further Two years.

+ Renewal can be done if the validity of Labour Card is less than Two months.

+ Required Documents for Labour Card Renewal: Copy of Labour Card, Copy of Passport with visa page, Copy of Trade License, Copy of Labour Establishment Card and One photograph with white background.

+ Labour Card/Work Permit can be renewed till the age of 65.

+ After 65 years of age, an employee can renew his/her Labour Card for two years against Dh5000 plus normal renewal fees according to the Company category. This amount should be paid at Tas’heel Centre for each renewal.
